How to use our site

Here are instructions for these key activities:

• Save listings and Stay up to date on real estate
• Share listings with your loved ones or your agent (or both!)
• Have a discussion about listings within the site

Stay up to date on real estate with SAVING

Save searches, listings, and buildings.  LivingThere will email you when there are price drops or new listings on the market.

Here is how:

1. Make sure you have an account and are logged in.  For instructions go here.    
2. Search for listings from the homepage.
3. You can save listings, buildings, or searches.  The first time you save you will need to create a "binder" to store your listings.  Call your binder "My saved real estate" or something similar.
   • Save listings by clicking the save button in the search results or on listing pages.
   • Save buildings by going to the "New Developments" tab or click the building link on the right hand column of any listing page.
   • Save searches when viewing search results.  Click the "Save search criteria" under the "SEARCH RESULTS".
4. You will receive an email if the price changes on a listing you saved.  You will also receive new listings and price changes for any buildings or searches you saved.

SHARE listings with your loved ones

You can share your saved real estate with people securely from the site.  People you share with can view the listings and add comments.

Here is how:

1. Make sure you are logged in and that you have some listings saved.  See here if you haven't done this already.
2. From the LivingThere homepage, scroll down to "My Binders".  Binders are where your saved items are stored and are how items are shared.
3. Click the SHARE button.  Enter the email address of the person with whom you want to share the information in the binder.  Please note that whoever you share the binder with sees all listings, searches, and buildings saved in the binder.  They do not see binders you may have created but did not share with them.
4. Click send.  The person you shared the binder with will receive an email inviting them to login and see everything you've saved.

Privately DISCUSS listings with people  

Here is how:

1. Click on a binder.  Click on a listing, saved search, or saved building.
2. At the bottom of the page is a section called "Private Notes" which allow you to add comments and discuss listings. Only you and people you share the binder with can see the notes.
3. To add a note click "Add note".  You can add as many notes as you want.
